Our District

District 11 is one of 29 Districts in the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. We have 32 Clubs which range in size from 10 to 52 members and we have a total membership of approximately 850.
Our District covers central southern England encompassing the county of Hampshire, a small part of Dorset, a small part of Wiltshire, the Isle of Wight and the Channel islands - as shown in purple on the adjacent map. It is a mixture of urban, country, and seaside areas. It includes the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth, seaside towns of Bournemouth Poole and Lymington, and the Cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury. A large part of Hampshire is covered by the New Forest National Park and several of our Clubs are located in or near the forest. Although the Isle of Wight Clubs are separated from the mainland their members manage to take part in a large number of District activities. The Channel Island Clubs are too far away to take part in day to day District activities but they usually manage to send representatives to District and other important meetings.
