About the Club

Inner Wheel is a group of like minded women who aim to serve the communities of the Itchen Valley. The Itchen River flows between Winchester and Southampton and we have based our catchment area on that region. We are a stand alone service club, founded initially by IV Rotary Club.

We fund-raise for local charities through arranging flower demonstrations, quizzes, coffee mornings and open gardens events. We also support our District 11 Holiday Club which provides a weeks holiday for either children or adults carers. There is chance to support the International charities as well. Our membership is growing and through our open rule policy would like to invite any other interested women to our meetings to experience the friendship and camaraderie. We meet monthly for a dinner meeting at which we have a speaker, and we also go and visit other Inner Wheel clubs and support their events. Inner Wheel helps groups in the area such as the Stroke Support Group in Chandlers Ford, Hiltingbury Extravaganza and Fryern Funtasia.

About the Town

Chandlerís Ford is a mainly residential area near Eastleigh and has a population of 21436. There are three shopping areas, Fryern Arcade and The Mall Shopping Centre and also Central Precinct. There is good access by rail and bus to both Southampton and Winchester. The local Thornden Hall provides community arts and entertainments events with regular monthly film shows of recently released films.

We hope you are inspired to find out more about us and visit us at one of our meetings to see if you like what you find there, please contact us via the Contact us form, including the name of our Club in your message.

We look forward to hearing from you.
